Generate interest and engagement using
interactive presentation skills

Overview

In our considerable experience, an unfortunate majority of meetings and presentations are infected with what we call “Didactic Data Dump.” Tragically, a presenter benignly tells the audience everything they know about a topic – whether they need to know it or not. The result: listeners tune out long before the end of the presentation.

As presenters, we all try to share information in hopes of motivating our audience to learn, change or use our products. But truly exceptional presenters go beyond: they facilitate, invite and engage their listeners as participants in the learning process. They become interactive.

EDC’s popular Creating and Managing Interactive Meetings workshop helps good presenters become “power presenters” by teaching specific strategies to maximize the memorability and interactivity of your presentation, while minimizing boredom and “data overload.” Through hands-on, real-world examples, you’ll learn to create an interactive presentation that increases audience retention, energy, engagement and buy-in. You’ll also discover the possible pitfalls of audience interaction and how to manage them.
